Indian White-eyes

Zosterops palpebrosus

The birds are Indian White-eyes (Zosterops palpebrosus), locally called Chashma Pakhi. These tiny passerines feature olive-green upperparts, a bright yellowish throat and breast, and a very distinctive white ring around their eyes. In Bangladesh, these social, active resident birds can be seen in small flocks visiting gardens, orchards, mangroves, and woodlands nationwide, especially in Sylhet, Chittagong, and Dhaka.
