Asian Brown Flycatcher

Muscicapa dauurica

The bird is an Asian Brown Flycatcher (Muscicapa dauurica), locally known as Badami Choti-futi. This small, grayish-brown passerine has large dark eyes with a conspicuous pale eye-ring and a pale underside. In Bangladesh, it is a common winter migratory bird that can be seen in woodlands, orchards, village gardens, and urban parks nationwide, especially in Dhaka, Sylhet, and Khulna.
