Puff-throated Babbler

Pellorneum ruficeps

The bird is a Puff-throated Babbler (Pellorneum ruficeps), locally called Gola-fula Chhatare. It is recognized by its distinct chestnut crown, prominent white throat, and heavily streaked breast. In Bangladesh, this secretive, ground-foraging resident can be seen within the dense undergrowth and leaf litter of mixed evergreen forests across Sylhet and Chittagong divisions.
