Little Egrets

Egretta garzetta

The birds are Little Egrets (Egretta garzetta), locally called Choto Bok. These slender waterbirds are identified by their snow-white plumage, long black bills, black legs, and distinctive bright yellow feet. In Bangladesh, they are abundant residents commonly seen nationwide wading in shallow waters like paddy fields, rivers, khals, beels, and coastal mudflats.
